There are many superb free VST effects out there but reverb? None seem to compare to the ones I was spoiled with before, they lack "space", they sound like reverb, they almost do it, but they do not create that space I was used to getting so very easily I didn't really think about it. I've grown up since, these are long gone, I had a 10 year break and started up again with no hacked software which is how things will remain. I never had a problem with reverb, put it on a bus and aux send to it I don't remember having to spend a week farting about with it - it just sounded right on any setting. Thought it could be a hearing problem but I hear other peoples reverbs sounding great.ġ5 years ago, there's no excuse, I had every hacked VST going. My problem is essentially simple - I just want a reverb that I don't really hear, I want the space without the reverb taking over - mostly the above don't do this, they are brittle or mushy. ValhallaSuperMassive - amusing but not what I'm looking for. OrilRiver - probably the best but boy are there a lot of controls I think I had a very good Lexicon reverb many years ago - see below, it's long gone. MPXNativeVerb - pretty good but limited control for free. To save you suggesting these I already have:Ģ016 Stereo room - I quite like this in it's way.Īmbience - nicely controlable but middley and brittleĬLA EchoSphere free - sort of fun, but not the answerĮpicVerb - possibilities here - still playing with it As strictly a hobbiest (with other hobbies too) I have a bunch of free reverbs, as one does.
